Meetings
At OCD Support we provide a monthly, holistic, self-help support group for individuals who experience OCD and its accompanying mental health conditions. You do not need a diagnosis to attend, and we have an open-door policy so you can come and go as you please; although we do recommend regular attendance for the most beneficial experience.
Those whose daily lives are affected by someone else’s OCD; such as parents, siblings, partners or carers are also encouraged to attend. Every meeting is different as we can have a range of natural discussions taking place or each month can belong to a preselected topic with guest speakers present occasionally. Our group is aimed for adults aged eighteen and over, but you can attend if you are over sixteen years old; you would just need to be accompanied by an adult.
Introduction and Tour Video
Please play the video below for a tour of the venue. We know it can be anxiety-provoking attending for the first time, so you’ll be able to see where to park, where to enter and where our rooms are. We hope it helps.
Meetings are held on the first Monday of every month (unless this falls on a bank holiday, in which case they move to the next Monday) between 7pm – 9pm at The Quaker Meeting House, 2-10 Bean Street, Anlaby Road, Hull, HU3 2PR. Please see the map below.
If you would like to know more about our monthly meetings, please check our FAQ section, or get in touch with us via the links to our email or social media platforms at the bottom of the website.
Games Fair 2022
On the 10th September we hosted our popular Games Fair for a wonderful day full of laughter, fun and cake! This year we were lucky to be able to host the fair at the Quaker house, the home of our OCD support group which meant we could welcome volunteers, public and members alike. All those who came were able to have access to a range of computer games, board games and even try out the newest Virtual Reality games…I’m not sure I want to experience a zombie apocalypse in the middle of the afternoon again!
We can not thank our volunteers enough! From those who offered their time, baking skills, raffle prizes, equipment and board games to those who created the flyers, helped advertise the event and hosted several of the game tournaments! We could not have done this without you!
