As government restrictions have eased our meetings have returned back to normal.
Anyone over the age of eighteen. Those aged sixteen to eighteen can attend but would need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
No. You do not have to discuss anything you are not comfortable with. That being said, we do find people benefit more if they do open up and share their experiences.
Not in the clinical sense. We are not a therapy service, but we offer a safe place for everyone to talk about their experiences and share tips and advice with each other.
Nope! You are welcome whether you have received a diagnosis or not. You do not need to be on any treatment to attend our group either.
Yes! We welcome anybody affected by OCD at our group meetings. You can come alone or with the person who has OCD.
Not at all! Although, we do recommend regular attendance in order to benefit as best as possible from our support group.
During the Coronavirus pandemic we did offer online support but now our meetings are back to being in-person. You can bring a friend with you if you are anxious about coming.
Although we are an OCD support group there is a lot of overlap with different mental health conditions. There will be a place for you in our group if you are struggling.
The group is run by volunteers who have all had their own issues relating to OCD and mental health.
